JD 9996

Here is my newest conversion. I did not build this, but will be converting it to rc. It's going to take a minute to do this. Dismantling it now and building parts.

Ben, I got this picker from a friend of mine out of Missouri. He build them and the pull-behind scrapers. He's got a module build that I will add to my farm scene later.

I want to make the header raise and lower, the basket up and down and the boll buggy loader open. That's the idea......so we will see what ican fit in there. Gonna have to go hydraulic to have a decent shot at it I think.

For those of you who don't know the intricate mechanics of a cotton picker, here it is. I had/have to remake many of the alumunium pieces from .32 brass. It is coming to together nicely.

Re: JD 9996

WOW Rob, that looks like a lot of parts. If thats not a spare table in a spare room you must be married to a saint. I can't keep a caulking gun or tools in the laundry room for more than a day or two before I am told to get them put way much less a project of this magnitude.
Oh and I hope you have a manual or took lots of pics. Good luck with it.
