2015 Kansas Truck Show April 17-19th
 

Alright we just had our monthly meeting yesterday to kick off the new year of 2015 and we have a set date this year for the truck show.

Several of you have been asking about it and the dates are finally here. We will have the show in conjunction with the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) along with the grand opening of Newell's Tuck Center (where it has previously been at, now under new ownership and management) all going on that weekend. There are going to be a lot of new vendors there this year coming from Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. One of the big sponsors and groups that will be there is Chrome Shop Mafia along with Wilkins Oklahoma Truck Supply.

We are going to have all kinds of new activities going on as well with the grand opening and they have added a lot more classes to the main truck show including race cars, tractors and even truck/ car classes.

The whole show is free of charge and a great enjoyment for the whole family as many of the previous attenders would agree. It's a great atmosphere and a lot to do so we are really looking forward to having even more people attend this year.

I will get rooms setup and available as we did last time at discounted rates but I need to know about how many to reserve, so if anyone is interested let me know and I'll get a tally on about how rooms we will need and go from there.

Tyler I would love to come but it is just too far for me to drive out:mad:I was out in Stockton a couple of months ago to pick up a tailer and was thinking about the show and just realized how far ir is out there.Im sure it will be another good show to attend:)

I'll certainly plan on coming, but I might be in Pennsylvania for the month training for work. Not sure on that yet though, still up in the air. Was a fun show last time! Only a couple hour drive for me now, just moved to Topeka.

Well I'm going to plan on being there. Going to work harder on the truck (need to get the paint right) so I can make it. But I will probably be bob-tailing the whole weekend. Only about 165 miles for me, so I would very much like to attend.

Hey JD, hadn't seen that you moved, give me a hollar some time. I had your number until I had to switch phones. I'm running all over the eastern part of the state now and I'll actually be up your way tomorrow and tuesday. May hit ya up while I'm around.

Chris where are you located in KS? I'm actually in Newton and it's nice to know there are some more guys around this area getting into the hobby finally. Doesn't sound like you're too far from me.

Chris I know exactly where that is. I will be going right through Marysville on 36 tomorrow and wednesday heading there up to Axtell and Hiawatha.

You're not too far from some of my local stores I have in that area.

Roll call time and an update. Seeing how many we are needing for the room reservations this year. I have three rooms booked so far and have 7 more available that we pre booked for the show.

I am trying to get areas setup for dirt moving again as well as some other space for the show queens and trucks that people don't want in the dirt.

I have been asked a couple of times what all we will have and right now I have an allotment of dirt brought in like the previous years and the possibility of a bridge and warehouse area if some people bring some pieces with them. Just looking for input on the show ideas from the people interested.

If I could get some more ideas, send them this way.

Yes I am. They are under new ownership since last fall and they are throwing a grand opening in junction with the antique truck show that same weekend.

Well, we are now less than a week out from the show this year and it's all falling together well. Time for a roll call and estimated time when you guys and gals are planning on rolling in? We will be setting up friday evening and there will be a dinner at Newell's and then we will have the show saturday.

Hey Chris no problems. I have the rooms all set up for you guys when you get here to check in to. I am also in the process of putting together a bridge and building some details for the area to go along with everything else.
