Eagle Mach JD-98/RC4WD DXR2

Just wondering if anyone has had any further thoughts on this machine?
Been out for a bit but not many posts on performance or reliability. Just pulled the trigger on one and wondering if any electonics/servo/hydraulic failures need a looking into? What's the fill level on the hydro tank? If anyone else has questions can try to answer when mine arrives.

Look forward to your thoughts on it once it arrives. I seen some videos of it and they look good push a fair bit of dirt.

Bought mine couple of months ago, i think its their best machine so far, you can push lots of dirt, its heavy and seems like very good built to me. I have never had any problem so far.

yea, all the vids I've seen are prepared dirt. Not happening here. Will let everyone know how it reacts to hard pack.

Congrats on your new dozer  I'm sure it will be able to tackle the hard packed soil you have out back that's what the ripper is for :D

I know what I'm going to say won't be liked but.... why not rototill the area you want to play in? I love the DXR2 although I don't have one. RC4WD wants $490 for the drive motor and gear for each side, I would hate to tears those up at that price. Also I wonder how hard or soft the ripper tooth is, I wouldn't be surprised if hard pack would wear it down pretty quickly. Just my 2 cents.

I've been watching some videos of it working and have a question. Does the blade tilt as to dump it? I see there's a ram but can't tell if there's a hose going to it or not.

Could always get a ripper for the 4200 if worried about track wear on the dozer.

If your asking if the bucket tilts forward or backwards it does not. Bucket can only tilt side to side.

Already have a ripper for the 4200 so yea, that could be in play. For the most part it'll be playing in piles of unscreened fill dirt so should be good. Once it arrives I'll get out and take some vid.

Yeah I want to see some pics and thoughts about it too!! I love dozers and the details on that one are darn good!! Take care when running it to not turn sharp , like a zero turn, and load up the tracks with debris, might get a rock in and possibly break a track link. Just like 1:1 dozers, a good operator will try and limit how much spoil get pushed into track links. 1:1 will pretty much crush anything but still hard on equipment. Always can tell if the owner is running stuff:).

Know exactly what you mean. Have to keep the same eye with 1/16 r/c armor.

Also thinking a spring loaded idler may be the first mod if it's not sprung stock.

I have found these four videos very informational, the first ons is the unboxing, the second shows some of the details, the third shows more of the the internals and the forth goes over the functions. The undercarriage is much like a real machine, these videos are very convincing if your on the fence.

Thanks Stuart, think I've seen all the vids on youtube of it. Looks like a nice machine for the price point. Once mine arrives I'll get it down in the bashing area and see what it can do.
