Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

I'm totally new to radio control so I'll probably have a ton of questions and I'm looking forward to learning all about it.

I've been watching RC construction and truck videos on youtube and find that they really interest me. I am amazed at what the "toys" can do, and I'm also amazed at the prices. :D

I live in southeast Indiana, near Cincinnati.

I recently completed my first truck and trailer build and loved it. I'm anxious to start on another one. I'll try and post some pictures.

OK I think I've figured out how to post images from Google Photos. It should go much smoother from now on.

Thanks for your patience.

Welcome to the madness. Since you're from IN, there's a meet coming up in September up in Lebanon, IN.

Posting images is about the hardest thing on the forum. They don't allow uploads, so it needs hosted somewhere. Then come back here and hit the 'yellow/brown mountain with sun' button, paste url there. Or you can set up the img tags yourself.

Should output something like
(IMG]http://pretty pic[/IMG]

Make sure your photos aren't restricted behind a password

Re: New member in Indiana

What is the date and address of the meet in September? I want to the calendar but it seems to be broken. Was only showing me December 2013.

Is this a truck and construction equipment meet?

Also, is there someplace on the forum where new events get posted?

Thanks in advance.

We have a calender?

https://rctruckandconstruction.com/s...ad.php?t=13320

Truck & Construction & Farming, sometimes Truck Pulls. I think there was some mention of a 1/10 scale demolition derby.
We're in the Boone county fairgrounds Rabbit Barn. Being additional entertainment for the Lebamon "Back to the Fifties" event

Scroll way down on main page to the Groups & Events section, we're in Central / Plains.

Top of the main page. Fourth button over. But it doesn't seem to work. :D

The show looks like a lot of fun. I wish I could attend, but I'll be away on vacation. Hopefully next year.

I'll keep an eye on the groups and events section in hopes that something else pops up.

I've watched a lot of youtube videos of some of the meets in Europe, and they're amazing. That's what got me involved in RC trucking and heavy equipment.

Thanks for the info. Have fun at the event.

Wow, guess there is a calendar.

I'm not sure if Izzy has the Jan 2020 meet scheduled with 4H. It's been in a smaller climate controlled room with a driver fee, since it's all on us.

Looks like google is a pain in butt to use for img hosting

Re: New member in Indiana

Will the January 2020 meet be posted in the central planes section?

I'll see if I can remember how I got the photos to post from Google and I'll post it up. I don't remember it being as difficult as the articles you found indicated.

Re: New member in Indiana

Yep. That worked.

Where would be the best place for me to post the process so everyone will see it?

frizzen 08-13-2019 09:58 PM

Re: New member in Indiana

That's better, i had been only seeing a hyperlink that sends me to a grey screen with a circled minus.

Throw some 'img' tags on that url. Hmm, maybe you should shrink the output size a little.

It should be posted either there or in general. Last year was like Jan 25-27.

I like the paint job on that rig.

Thanks for the complement.

I was kind of surprised at how well it came out myself. Got lucky with this one. :)
