Does any of you guys know the RAL code for the Volvo construction machine yellow ?
I think the color name is Taxi yellow and the Volvo's own number is 62.

Crazy progress ari, looks awesome as each update!

You can get Volvo paint from the local Volvo dealer, in different sizes and types of canisters if I don't got it all wrong, saw them last time at the Swecon dealer here in Sweden.

It seems now that I must change the middle axle for the version that has raised
input/output shaft to get more clearance for the drive shaft:(
The original has that kind of middle axle too.

Yeah, I was eyeballing your drawings & assemblies & was beginning to wonder what interferences there might be with the driveline.

New parts to see everyday, you seem to be moving forward quite quickly.

It's very hard to predict all suspension movements and it effects to the drive line before you actually build it:(
There's not much extra room there so there might still be a few nasty surprises to come;)

Hey that diff in the last picture is what I am after! Well I need two I guess...

The suspension parts are looking great Ari! Did you ever get the TIG welding figured out?

I'm still struggling when I try to weld thin plate to some thicker part, I can't get the thicker part hot enough before thin one melts away:mad:

I had this same problem with my A30c 1/16 scale. Totally impossible to build as the real one.

Re: Volvo A40F

Beautiful truck so far!! Applause!

Using that new axle should make the truck much more durable. Since the shaft passes through the differential of the middle axle the current axle has to withstand the load of both axles.. The axle with the bypass (provided it actually is a bypass) distributes the load equally onto both axles. Should be much better for the drive train..

Cheers

Pip
