A guy took a bunch of my videos (and a bunch of other german rc videos) and set advertising on them so, i reported him to Youtube and they said "he is doing nothing against youtube policy".

So, i found a number for some youtube corporate help and the guy i talked to said unless your videos are actually copy righted anyone can use your videos, download them, post them other places....

So, now i have a Small Haul mark on all of my videos so that people at least know whose video it is. I don't believe there is anything else you can do.

This is the guy that took a LOT of my videos and many other youtube users and youtube will do absolutely nothing about it...

I guess nobody reads the legal mumbo jumbo, but it seems pretty strange that they allow this behaviour.

Wow that sucks. I'm surprised they won't do something about it. Maybe they would if you had a big "Copyrighted by blah blah blah" opening page on all of them.

I'm in a network. if someone takes my videos they get a copyright strike.


On each video there is "About Share Add to and some squiggly lines then a FLAG" on that flag, click that and then click "Infringes my rights". Pick "infringes my copyright" Hope that helps.

I had the same thing happen to me, I did what the Stuff said to do, next thing I know his channel goon, I am guesting his account got banned.

It's been a few yrs since it happened to me, but I just sent a nasty PM to the offender & a request to youtube admin... the offender deleted vids before yt admin got to it a few days after. I did get a response from youtube Admin though saying they checked... maybe youtube is getting too big now to be concerned with such things? :confused:

Reported one video, and they removed that one :D Guess I just have to report another 100 or so...

handbrake is a nice program that compresses the videos then you can put a logo or text in a corner when it renders it.
