Re: MB Heavy Haul

This build has been on the backburner for over a year........Finally picked up some speed on it again.
This is going to be a 10x8 Beam Hauler XXL.
Now the axles fit so next step is to make the rear axle steer properly and smooth.

Im also going to build toolboxes.
The driveshaft in the pic. is going to be replaced by telescopic ones.

Thanks Kerst. Yes i hope it will perform better than the KH. If it does i might give the KH the same treatment.....And there is a KH II in the making too :jaw:
More of that later :D

Looking good Bo, what frame rails are you using? Why the the different spring mounting on the rear set of tandems? Inquiring minds what to know! Lol

Most impressive! I am very envious for sure.

And here I thought a 6X6 would be fine for me. I'm short a few!

Thanks Kent.
The frame rails is King Hauler and a slight modification on the suspension in the front.
The rear steering axles has a hole pattern narrower than regular straight axles.
so the stock wouldn't work. I overcome that hurdle with changing a few parts around......Lesu springs and and brackets from. http://www.ebay.com/itm/stainless-st...72.m2749.l2648
And i use those for couplings to push and pull rods too. Now the fun begin with hooking up the steering..........

My KH Beam Hauler got 10x4 and not liking uneven ground much. So i decided this build needed some extra Omf. 10x8. The KH II is all out 10x10
Your 6x6 is going to do just fine. ( All wheel drive is a must this days  )

Re: MB Heavy Haul

Here you can see the different width of the axles hole pattern. 2.5 mm x 2 is the diff. in measurement from mid axle to hole centre.

I might put in two set of this one down the road. But for now i'll test this setup.

The Four Axle Gravel Hauler getting new axles too.

When using one steer axle in the rear normal suspension parts is fine. Just added the heavy duty lesu springs with one more blade in it.

Yes all lesu axles going in here too :D 8X8 Rocks........

Oh it will! But you know there's always someone with something bigger, brighter & 'longer' so I was just skiddin' with you! :p

I am learning everyday about rigs so I looked up on You Tube a truck like you're building and found something I didn't know existed. I watched a bunch of Mercedes Benz Actros SLT with dual front steer (axle added) and that I thought is a kit? Or builder modified? Just a learning experience.

'Anywho', just when I thought I satisfied my 6WD truck need (bought a CROSS freshly built) and avoided having to build something, now I see the need for a second truck! LOL!!!

Does this happen often guys?

By the way, I didn't want to hi-jack your thread with any pics or videos... just wanted to drop by and say how impressive THIS is and I blame you now that I see my truck collection will grow. And $$$ more out.

That's Ok Panther.............Brace yourself for impact.........
I started hang on this forum when it opened. And before that the Garden Trucking forum. Took me a while before i felt ready to make any noise.
2013 i've had one truck a Globe Liner. Now a bit later it's a totally different story..........i'm still married though......... For me this is where i can relax and have fun.....don't need to compete or be better than anyone else just do my thing and learn from other people. If anyone like what i did or came up with i'm happy and that's how i like it. We all need something to do, and i'm sticking to that story.
