lift axles are self built unless you buy the wedico 1,which ( I think ) only works with the wedico  . Here is a thread with pics of mine http://173.201.47.108/showthread.php?t=367

The Wedico lift axle is quite inferior. You wouldn't want it, even if you had a Wedico truck to install it on. I had a Wedico lift axle and ended up selling it for one of my own design. To make your own lift axle is not that difficult. There are a lot of good self-made, scratchbuilt designs out there. You just need to look around the site a little. Some designs you will see are more complex, and other quite simple. It depends on what tools and equipment you have available. I went a little extreme, with my design. Here is a link to some photos of it. You don't have to go this wild to get a good functional lift axle, but just to give you some other ideas. Mine is still not quite finished, but it's getting there. All I need is a lift mechanism, which I have all figured out in my head

You might want to check out Travis's lift axle too. His is similar to Steve's. Both are quite functional and not overly complex. A very good alternative! I found his thread and some info on it. I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this link to his thread. Chances are he would have posted it on his own anyway. :D

I've used modified trailer axles. You get 5/8" brass tubing (K&S from your hobby store) and cut the center out of the axle. Something like this:

I sandwiched my servo between 2 pieces of 1/16 alunimium plate for easy access and no play when lifting.
