Re: new rc4wd dozer

A buddy of mine has just got his dozer now, I must say I'm impressed by the detailing and the structural sturdiness of the machine, good weight. They've obviously put down a lot of effort in the design. Very nicely detailed tracks and chains. It does not have many hours on the meter yet, but the drivetrain seams working good so far. Two 540's with directly connected to planetary transmissions.
To be able to offer the machine to customer at just above 3000 USD, the specs of hydraulics and electronics are being held at a minimum level, as with the other machines from the same fabricator. But the machine is with no doubt good value for money. There is always the possibilities to upgrade and modify as things starts to leak too much, and ESC & servos 'call it a day'.

if it had cat decals, the manufacturer would have tons of legal problems.

Re: new rc4wd dozer

I know it's small potatoes and better components are far more important but I think they should have painted it in the non glare, black hood, cylinders and backside of the blade. Would have defiantly dialed up the cool factor. Anybody got a photo of this on the RC4WD lowboy, or any lowboy for that matter? (yes, I know a D10T would be a HUGE load!)

Very cool Brandon, thank you. We need some new sound boards, getting very tired of everything sounding like a European truck. Not insulting anybody but not everything sounds like that.

Pretty cool. I've got my decals and smoke unit on the way. Won't have the creepy operator though.

9W Monighan 03-29-2017 08:59 AM

Re: new rc4wd dozer

Nice sound, but that operator really freaks me out. I guess if he malfunctions, his head will spin and spew out pea soup.

sparkycuda 03-29-2017 10:03 AM

Re: new rc4wd dozer

Sound and detail are very good. That operator is spastic and a bit freaky! I've not liked smoke units - it drifts out rather than at high velocity and modern machines don't emit much visible smoke, mostly heat waves. But a very nice model.

Re: new rc4wd dozer

Yea, agree on the most part about smoke units. I have had some success with the TARR units. Lots of smoke and proportional fan.

Too many Pabst will have the same result.

Was not familiar with the TARR units. The video is impressive for a smoker, and I looked up RC Tank Electronics. Their sound unit might be good for a V12 diesel in a construction machine. Thanks for the info.

My Dozer pretty much looks exactly like his, I just haven't got around to putting sound, lights and Smoke on it yet... Love the Dozer though wish they would have made a little wider tracks on them.
