Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

So this is my wheelloader, i buildt it last year in March. I dont post all pics here, there is almost 150. Link to all of them http://s1089.photobucket.com/albums/...66G/?start=all

When everything was unpacked i was thinking "wtf is this it cant be a loader" it turned out i was wrong :D Some pics of the build

Call me crazy but I threw out all wdc electronics in the trash before I even tested it. I changed it to Servonaut instead.
Here is the SMX soundmodule, i now its wrong but i just have to have the Scania V8 sound with a screaming turbocharger :)

Nice loader and nice photos.

Question: My Friends's Wedico Loader has 4 tiny screws that hold each wheel to the axle and in your photo it looks like there is one bolt holding the wheel on? is that true?

Actros861 01-29-2012 03:59 PM

Re: Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

Thanks :)

There are 10 small screws that hold the rims together and one bigger in the middle that holds the entire wheel in place.

Re: Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

Thanks, they must have changed that on the newer loaders.

Re: Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

Maybe they have, my machine is number 708.

I decided to expand the hydraulics of the machine so i can have hydraulic accessories.
First thing i have to do was a new radio i choose the 10channel Sanwa SD-10G.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA062956.jpg

New holders and hoses on the arms.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/P1133101.jpg

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/P1133102.jpg

This was not cheap, new controlvalve and some other things. The pistons is for a snowplow, more on that one later.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PC153039.jpg

Its a tihgt fit.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PC153049.jpg

The enginebay is really full :)

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/P1133103.jpg

Snowchains could be a good idea.

The hose holder idea is cool. The lines on my 2 lift cylinders are the only hoses I have problems with getting pinched.

Looks like a nice setup. Who makes the quick attach system? Or is it custom?

Probably but i don't think he is willing to sell his machine, and if there was a chance of doing that i don't have the money for it :(

By the way i have some big plans for my little loader.
Servo to gearshift gave up so got completely fed up with the gearbox.

Out with the old,

Re: Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

Changing the drivetrain in a CAT isn't as easy at it seams :p

Motor is nearly in place just a few millimeters lower.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054315.jpg

Front driveshaft is to high up as you can see in this picture.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054316.jpg

Put the pump in to see if it works as i thougt.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054317.jpg

Filter in the same place as original just put it on the other side.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054318.jpg

Valves at the back of the machine.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054319.jpg

I can now put un twin NiMh or one bigger 3s LiPo battery.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA054320.jpg

As you can see NiMh is a bit higher than the LiPo battery.

Re: Wedico CAT 966G II to Sweden

Done just a little bit more today.

Split the original holder for pump in two pieces so i don't have to make a new holder for the hood. Here is th right side.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084328.jpg

Not much left of the leftside.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084332.jpg

I placed the valve as high and far back as i could.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084327.jpg

Filter hanging upside down.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084329.jpg

This is how it looks under the hood rigt now, it's not easy to take a good picture on this.

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084333.jpg

Got to fix the twisted hoses :p

http://i1089.photobucket.com/albums/...G/PA084330.jpg

Looking good. It will be interesting to see what you think of the new drive train!
