The King Hauler is a very good "starter" semi. Tamiya has some of the best instructions going. If you follow the manual step by step you should have no issues. Plus, you've found the best source of information going in the members of this forum. If you have questions just ask here and you'll get all the help you need.
Enjoy your first build!

Can't go wrong with the Tamiya rigs. Great manuals, mods and a big following. Where you from in VA? Grew up in Chantilly and went to school at Radford.

i live about an hr or so south of radford. i was looking at a manual for a king hauler and yes it pretty much looks like it is all screws, correct?
