Yup big!! Looks good!! Post some pics of how it works, insides ect. I'm always on the look out for how others build things, can always learn something and see the ingenuity of other minds :)

Hay guys thanks for all the feed back! It's not ready for the dirt yet I still have to mount the steering cylinders, pump, valve body and esc. Then maybe a test run. Hop fully this weekend I can get more done and post more pic.

Re: Cat looking loader

Had some time to work on the loader. So I got one of the steering cylinders mounted I have all the brackets for the other side made so it should go quickly.

Hello Radar very nice work so far. I see you use mostly steel that is good it will last a lifetime. Ed

Re: Cat looking loader

How come you didn't go with the TXT-1 axles? It's more than twice the reduction and a lot more mass grabbing with the gears vs just a crown & pinion.

Radar 11-09-2014 05:32 PM

Re: Cat looking loader

I used those axels be cause I had them I know thay won't last long. But I will look into those if ya don't mind send me a link were I can get them thx for the info

Re: Cat looking loader

Looking for a link I see the axle/trk kit was discontinued in 2012, but some good alternatives would be the Blackwell axles..

... or even the Bully Comp axles (I've never used them myself) eliminating the need for a transmission, transfer case & driveshafts.

Re: Cat looking loader

The txt 1 axles were the best. Too bad they don't make them anymore

The axle used in most German loaders and dumpers with a traditional driveline.

Nice - wish I had the skills to build my own!

Since short, ScaleArt has added a drive axle for wheel loaders to their catalog. Bit pricey though.
425 € with 19% sales tax and 358 € without the tax
