Integy Transmission

Just wondered if anybody has tried the Integy 3 speed? Seems to be a copy of the Tamiya 3 speed with all metal parts including steel, straight cut gears. I have bought a few Integy parts and they have been good quality.

Joe on eBay had them at $136.79 when I jumped on. He told me he was raising the price after that.

Ball bearings on the sincros ? or oil lite bushings ? If ball bearings pull them out and put oil-lite bushings . Ball bearings aren't designed to slide . Grease the heck out of it .

Re: Integy Transmission

I received my new transmission today. Shipping was extremely fast. It's nice but maybe not as exciting as I first thought. It is much lighter than I thought it would be, I'm sure everything inside must be aluminum, I was hoping for steel gears. It does not come with a pinion gear. On the upside, motor changes are easier with it because it has a removable plate to get to the motor mount screws. It does include some cheap shift linkage and this transmission does have the anti spinner or the shifter, that is a nice feature. One thing that does not impress me is it has quite a bit of thrust slop in the main shaft, the transmission I put together with the brass helical gears has none, maybe that's not good either for these transmissions? I have never ran the one with the brass gears in it yet.
