Easiest cheapest way to make dump

Im at the final steps on my F550 build and I'm trying to get the dump bed completed. Was looking at the lesu lifting mechanism because it resembles the setup thats on the F550 dump truck i have at work. Is there any other wAys that are cheaper or better? $65 for the lesu alone then i need a motor and esc to run the dump and a gear reduction for the motor and ill have to mock up some type of mount to hold the motor to the chassis and then hope it all fits behind the a single cab and in between the frame rails

The LESU set up is the quickest and easiest way to do it. The cheapest way is a screw drive and stronger but your doing a lot more fabrication and there are a lot of people on here who have made them and I'm changing my dump from a LESU lift to a screw drive as I set here typing this and still not sure how it's going to work.
If you don't want to do a lot of fabrication go with the LESU lift it will work well and look good on your truck.

This is what I did, Sorry about the pic but I only took one pic for Instagram. Its a threaded rod, With a hole tapped for the geared motor shaft. Also a hole for a set screw. A nut pressed inside a coupling and copper pipe and two end caps drill a hole in one of the end cap same size as the threaded rod. You will figure the rest out just from the pic. You can glue it together, not necessary to braze it, but brazing is best. I'm using 1/2 copper. If I could find brass I would use that instead, just a preference.http://http://i1027.photobucket.com/albums/...psrbodnqv9.jpg
