Tamiya Mercedes Benz LS1838 4x4
This truck has a long history with me. Back in January 2008 i built it as a regular Tamiya 4x2. Then it was converted to a crawler; first 6x6, then 4x4. Late 2008 it was sold, but I missed it and bought it back just a few months later :o
Since then it has been built and rebuilt several times before I finally found a setup I like: Crawler 6x6 http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...d/IMG_5502.jpg 6X2 Flatbed http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...425800x533.jpg 6x6 Hauler http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...d/IMG_1151.jpg 4x4 Hauler http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...erc_4x4_24.jpg And finally 4x4 Dumper http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/n...010_eqp_04.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLSw8...layer_embedded The Merc is now equipped with: Servonaut M20+ Servonaut AIR-4 Servonaut SMX RC4WD 25:1 gearbox RC4WD 2:1 transfer 55T motor 11,1V LiPo 14 channel Futaba 2.4GHz receiver Separate ESC and battery for the dumpbox |

Looks good! I love your you tube vids. Get some more agressive front tires on it though!

Re: Tamiya Mercedes Benz LS1838 4x4
It's been awhile since my last update. I gave it a new chassis (same wb as the old one) and changed the transfer from a 2,15:1 to a 1:1. Now it does both highway and crawling ;)
The trailer is made by member Olav at our Norwegian forum. The truck is about 80% done, the trailer 95%. The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEueYbZz5f0 |
