Manitowoc 4100W 1/25

I got my Manitowoc 4100W out of the box this afternoon and played a bit. I rigged it up with all the boom I have for it and took a few videos raising the boom and walking.
Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkWIjcQel_M

thanks! No RC here, just old fashioned levers on the crane itself. There is one motor for all the functions. It all works with clutches and brakes. The boomhoist has a separate motor.

Was it a custom build or can it be purchased that way? Do you have a link that shows how it functions?

It is scratch built. There are some more pictures of my 4100W here:

Wow! Thanks for the link. I'll bet it is just as much fun to operate manually as it would be remotely. You must have tremendous patience to get all of that working properly. Very nice work.

Yeah... Man, I'm blown away here. This, I have not seen. Do you have any pictures of the build in progress? I'd like to see how the tracks were made, and where did you get the drive chain for them? or did you make it? Very impressive! Dan

I don't have any pictures of the build, because I did that in the early 80's.
The tracks are individually made of brass, 5 short pipes soldered to 2 rectangular brass pieces, I used a jig to keep it all together, a lot of work, but the result is good. The chain is from Mecano.

Got it out of the box!
I was asked to display it in the local community center for a while, so I rigged it up in Ringer configuration.
It is accompanied by the Krupp 180GMT in scale 1/20.
