thread title question..........hello LIL G... try again...
 

Is there a way to change the main title of a thread after its been submitted and up for a while. for instance if you want to change it for an update...

IE: build 1..... then too, build 1 updated 3/3/11 if you catch what im saying

I thought we could but somehow or where I cant find it if we can. Thanks for any and all help with this and sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum I didnt see one for board or forum questions..

Go to your first post in the thread and go to edit the click go advanced and you can do it in there

I did that bug it did not update what is shown on the main threads page. I thought that was how but maybe I did something wrong. I'll give it another go

This correct.

As you can see I changed the title of this thread by adding hello Dan, by editing the very 1st post of this thread.

Now see I did it and it changed the title in the forst post but not whats on the thread screen.... Not sure whats up, this is what it did last time too

I managed to do it in the test thread. maybe just get a mod to change it for you

appreciate it not a big deal i was just going to change my Aeromax thread title add update to it that's all. I appreciate all the help though guys. One reason I love this site fast and nice responses no childish or unneeded comments...

I'm pretty sure you're forgetting one step, it should work for you.
1. click edit
2. edit screen appears, lower right click "Go Advanced"
3. edit post page appears, then change the title & scroll down to "Save Changes"
4. done

hmm i tried that on my 'what i see at work' thread and it only changed the first post's title.

Nope same old thing just the first post changes not the title shown from the thread screen
