How to do a Conversion?

Since I know nothing about conversion a model to RC, I would really like to know how you guys learned? I'm sorta getting the servos understood and would like to start my own conversion on the Bruder Skid Steer. What items do I need to completely make this RC, at what cost? Thanks, I would really love to learn.

Now that’s a big one , it all depends now how much you know about electronics how detailed this explanation would have to go .

I would recommend do first a search on this forum , since several members have done these conversions and have posted nice detailed building threads and then approach the individual member with your questions .
Otherwise somebody would have to write up an entire encyclopedia on the how-to to cover every aspect .

All these guys here are very helpful , so I am sure over time you will get your answers .
