Anyone for hire?

Hello all,

Well I went to my local radio shack looking for led's (blue) for my "SLUMLORD".
They didn't have what I needed. The only thing they had were way to big, and they ran on 12v.
I've got the underside figured out. Tower Hobbies carries this.

Now I would like to hire someone to hook me up with 6 blue led's for the back of the sleeper. In the small holes, now I will drill out for the led's to fit.

I would like the led's to have thier own power source...I can find room.

Thanx, Big John

Big John, what size leds do you want? 3mm, 5mm or SMDs. SMDs are very small and bright but with a predetermined spacing.

I can make any set up. If you can be more specific as to what you desire, I can hook you up. If you use what I make, it would be free as I am very close to introducing a line of led products to the forum.

Look for Chriwstmas tree lights. I think there is about 12 of them on one string and they operate on 2 pen cells and in differant colors. Cost around one yankey dollar.

Thanx Ken, but I don't think they would be as bright as a led.
I have a set of blue christmas lights, the only problem is, they're to long and would,'t fit right.

That was a good idea though.:)

Big John;

If my old memory banks are correct, back when there was a colored coating you could use on light bulbs. Maybe you could look in a craft store for a translucent paint. The leds do not get hot so there should not be problem with the coating getting burnt off.

Years ago the only blue bulbs were the high beam indicator light on the VW autos. I wanted blue bulbs for a project I was working on and they were the only ones I could find. The VW dealer wanted $5 each for them. So much for that project.

Thanx for the info Ken. I thought of that myself, but when this long and slow process is done, I don't want anything to look like it doesn't really belong.
Especially if I take it to shows.

Thanx buddy, Big John
