Hi From Chicago!!
Hi everyone!! I stumbled upon this site following link after link for parts for my globeliner. Im 30 years old, have 2 kids and a wife. I work full time as a Cable Tech, and part time as a fireman. I have Been building 1/25th scale cars and trucks, since i was 9 and have been customizing, and going to shows for years. I have been into R/C for about 15 years now, started out on the original blackfoot, Thunder king, a few rc10's and some carpet racers. I have always wanted to own a tamiya rig and finally decided to pull the trigger and get one. I found one for a good deal on ebay and have been having a blast!! I bought a globeliner already stretched out with bull pipes, rc4wd tires, and some nice aluminum rims. Been working away at starting to make this rig "mine" with my own twists. (i hope to put some build pics up later) I ordered a nice custom trailer and it should arrive tomorrow so that will be fun!! I have a Thing for cabovers, but love all rigs just as well. There are some very talented builders here which is good cause i have lots of questions about how to's and where'd ya get's. Well anyways "HI"

If we keep getting all these new IL members we might have to start a new Chicago show. Indy and STL are in the summer time - I say CHI sometime around mid-winter?!?! :p (and no, I'm not volunteering to organize it :D) |
Re: Hi From Chicago!!
Haha people would be scared to come in Winter except this one. Lol. I'm north side in the city limits. 5 miles west of Wrigley field. Its a3 block walk and 15 min bus ride to a game! Buy I work way up North in lake Zurich. I agree a need a Illinois show that would be cool. I plan on trying to get to Indy this year a its not too far from me.I live close to the highway.
