Newbie

Hi all what a great site to stumble across. After roaming around this awesome site this seems to be quite a knowledgeable group. I am very new to the hobby, I am just purchasing my first Semi (Knight Hauler) and the MFU. And cannot wait to get started.

I do have some questions to get started. I have the opportunity to buy a Spektrum DS6i at a great price and wondering if this is better than the Futaba that is recommended. And what is a decent set of servos to buy.

Thanks again

Len

Welcome to the forum.i use both spektrum and futaba radios for my fleet they are both great radios in my opinion.i use servos from both of those brands and find they do the job. I know some use hi-tec servos and others.i would say if you are not going to use your vehicles for heavy service then most servos will do the trick but if you are getting into off-road stuff then i am sure someone will chime in what is best to use:D

I agree I also use both and think they get the job done .

I have all my cars on futaba radios And all my boats on spectrum radios .

Welcome. I'm running ds6i and I like it. You can program more then one vehicle with it. And start saving your money now because once you start building you will not want to stop.
