What size minimal would it take to drive a set of excavator tracks? I have 2 2x5 that I had for a bruder skid steer loader and it worked perfect but I didnt know about the heavier track hoe:confused:

Depends on your motors really. With track motors always being gear motors with massive reduction, I think you'd be hard pressed to have one draw more then 5 amps, in most of the lighter applications. You could always check the current draw with a multi-meter, or watt meter. That would be the best way to know what your power requirements are!
