how would i?

i am wondering how would i hook up two receivers in my crane truck? one to drive the truck and the other to run the crane i have a 8 channel radio and all the channels are use, i need 4 more to do what i want. so i was wondering if i could use a receiver controlled switch to turn one on and other off and vice versa ?

any ideas before i start buying stuff? any help would be great

This has been done before but I have not yet found the thread that explains how. Could have been on Scale forum.

Hi...

I know a module from a german manifacturer CTI-Modellbau.

It offers 2 pairs of 4 channels. You can switch with another module these channel pairs.

This gives you the possibility to use 4 channels for driving and 4 channels for other stuff. A fifth channel switches the channels pairs.

I wonder if this http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=18703 could be used "backwards". I just might buy one and play around with it.

If you are running spektrum gear or others with model match... You can leave both receivers on, and just switch models in the radio...

Cheers.

i was looking at a spektrum dx6i to replace the old first gen dx6 i have(witch doesn't work anymore). so they the spektrums make there own individual bind for each model?

Essentially yes... Btw there is a new dx6 (gen 2), the 6i is now old stock...

I have bought this unit to test the same theory and it does work. I'm using it to expand my dx10t with the xplus module to 24 channels for my rotator wrecker build. Still in the build/testing phase but the dual receiver unit works awesome so far
