Mikem,
The model's OAW of the crawlers is 17", just slightly wider (@ scale) to the full size crane's 16' 10" width when fitted with the stone 36" wide shoes.

The actual full size crane had two shoe width options: 36" and 42". My model is 1/12th scale (1" = 1') and the tread with of the model turns out to be 3.25", or midway between the actual...
