Re: Movie Optimus Prime build

The pinstripe actually is light blue, but looks almost white in the pics, so is a little deceptive.
I havent clearcoated it yet, wanted to wait until i'd decided i'm sure on it.

But you're right,...

Re: Movie Optimus Prime build

The flash lightens the pinstripe, but its about right to the eye. I actually cheated with the pinstripe, its not paint. I found some 1/64" blue pinstripe tape online, so used that.
Covers small...

Re: New Pete/ Optimus prime Grill just showed up on Ebay

Not sure i can justify the bumper. I havent added the stalks to mine yet, but theyd be the only reason i'd consider it.

But i swear hes making stuff just for us!

Re: optimus prime transformers

Maybe just used some closed cell foam. The sort of stuff you get in cushions or in Pelican cases.
Most foam places will be able to sell you big thick layers that you can cut to shape.

Re: Movie Optimus Prime build

They could probably have gotten away with modernising the truck a bit, maybe update to a new 389, but keeping the details and spirit the same as the existing truck.

Or *shock* switch to a CoE,...
