I have 2 of them. Very well made unit. I am going to use 1 of them in a Wedico truck that I am powering from a static model. That's about I can tell you about the tranny. I got mine off of ebay.

All of your upgrades look nice. You might try a button head capscrew instead of the regular allen head capscrew. They are much shorter in height and should blend in better or find a brass screw.

Mine has the plastic tranny in it. So I guess I am own my own. Thanks for the info. Not sure about the gear ratio in the gearbox???? Truck came with a 1993 Wedico catalog. Boy, do I wish the prices...
