I agree, if doing aluminum 6061 is probably best bet. Depending on cost, I would probably opt for hard anodizing to get some wear resistance at least for the track pads. Not sure how my anodizer...

Should work, but the little one will have less force than the servo applies on the black one. But will travel farther. If they were same size than servo force would equal dump cyl force and travels...

Centrifugal style pumps are good for moving fluid from one point to another, positive displacement pumps are good for creating pressure and transferring energy.

Need 2 to create a pressure zone. A one rotating piece pump would be like a vane pump that has vanes that float in and out to seal and make the pressure zone.

Good ole speed controller. Wasn't there then a big resistor (for braking maybe?) that was in the circuit with that somewhere? I remember the resistor getting hot, I burned a couple of them up.

Oh yeah, that small might be tough to find. I pretty much only use them for over 1/2", all pipe threads and specials. Makes the best sealing pipe threads :D

Your math is flawed slightly. Weight is a function of volume not area.
So a 1/14 scale model should be 1/(14 cubed) or 1/2744. This would make a 100k lb real world equipment equal 36.44 scale...
