all we could do is ask them ,he makes these in groups of 50, so they are small lots ,doesn't seem that it would be a big deal ,that is if he will do non railroad things lol

would cutting the foam at a sharper angle work ?
just like a sanding belt is cut and glued, or even cut it at an angle 90 degrees to the rim
never have tryed what you are doing so may not work but...

smaller size should be pushing fluid to the larger one
the small surface moves x amount and when it gets to large size it has say 10 times the surface area so it moves 1/10 amount but is 10 times...

and if you do not like the screw heads ,you could weld the seams or solder them, or even epoxy them and then take the screws out and putty the holes closed
