i have one also and mine is over 20 years old and runs like new
i just change the oil and replace air filters and it will run two impacts and not run all of the time
i used for a couple of years...

if the rear leaf springs are to soft when you load it up ,think about a set of overload
springs that go on top of the spring pack you have
they are shorter and bigger and have there own pads on...

also think about a little pencil type butane gas torch , they are great for frames ,etc
about 3 bucks at HF
having one for wiring and another for heavier things is a must

one of the 7x10,12,14 lathes are great for this hobby
and one of there mini mills to go with it
just watch for what tooling it takes if you go with r8, if and when you go bigger you can use most...

if you have a hardware store close you can get some MEK in the paint part of it and it is what most of the styrene bonders are
and a lot cheaper,, use a glass eye dropper to apply or a glass...
