Looking real good, as Reg says, why not just swop the motors, I'm using 80rpm ones in my JD9530 with 120mm dia tyres, you might want to try 100rpm

hmm, not sure then, if turning the pump speed up makes no difference then the oil is not getting to the rams for some reason, doesn't the 4200 have a 4th valve which acts as a bypass?

I don't have a 4200xl, but 23% seems a bit low to me, that's only 1/4 pump speed, try turning it up and see what happens.

Its a 1/6th scale Comet tank based on an Armortek kit.
He's fitting it with a dozer blade and hiab, he's not in to forums so maybe I'll start a thread on it.

Sounds like you have the right battery but could be low on voltage which is why the esc's are not working:
a) is it fully charged?
b) is it balanced?
or
c) is it straight out of the packet?
