Got the front axle built today and I'll form the leaf springs tommorow. Now if I could only remember to bring my camera to the shop and then figure out how to attach photos via photobucket into this...

I was impressed with the quality of construction even though it's a Chinese copy. At least I won't feel bad cutting it up. This one will only be 2 wheel drive. I'm going to save the 4x4 drivetrain...

The Bruder was my first attempt at an RC conversion.
Now I'm going to try to mod this dump truck. Origionally i thought it was a 1960 vintage Tonka but it is actually a Chinese replica of a 1949...

I measured the energy consumption of the loader in working conditions at the Campbell River show today.

The little guy pulled 600MAH out of a 1200MAH battery in 1 full hour of continuous running...

Well we found a set of working drawings for the truck and my dad had them scaled to 1"=1'. Working off actual size plans looks like it should be fairly straight forward. Now comes the fun part....

If it was shaft driven it would take 20 seconds to get rid of the slack in the driveline before moving every time you changed direction:rolleyes:
