Re: So what was everyone's first truck?

Did you have prior experience in RC and/or scratch building RC's before the terragator?

Re: Something "COMPLETELY DIFFERENT"

Doh! Yeah it's been awhile since I've looked at boats, cats almost look like a V hull with a slice taken out of the middle.
There are some beautiful boats in the Scale Boat section on RCgroups.

Re: Pink Lady gets a makeover...

Now that you mention that it seems vaguely familiar that I've seen those in RCCA years back.

Wonder if you could get a blank set of these...

So what was everyone's first truck?

After seeing the level of custom builds on here, and me starting with just a cab, I got to wondering what others started with. Post up with what your first truck was, stock or modded, etc.

Re: Perry's Leimbach Build

A big X2 on that, I think I'd almost enjoy building it more than running it!

I think that is a big draw to them for me getting one at some point, the build.

Re: Low load step deck

Dude, where do you live, fantastic view!
I know you must have an RC boat or two......

Oh yeah, and nice trailer!
Build it with something in mind to haul?

Re: Something "COMPLETELY DIFFERENT"

Nice work, great looking cat. Although I'm a little disappointed that beautiful wood finish isn't on the top side!

I haven't built a wood boat kit in probably 20 years, but I have a couple Dumas...

Re: MY 6X6 KNIGHT..

Good looking truck, I like the flame job.

Was the front axle narrowed or the fenders widened at all? It doesn't look much wider at all than the stock front end.

Re: My first Tonka dump truck

Being they are both vBulletin forums, it's easy to do, just edit the post on Scale4x4, hit Ctrl A, Ctrl C, start a new thread here and hit Ctrl V.
If your pics are links in Scale4x4 everything will...

Re: Helical gear set for tamiya semi trans?

I got into a minor dispute with a guy om tamiya3speeds forum, did a pole on Scale4x4, and I have never heard of a gear failing/stripping in a semi or High Lift trans. So strength wise I see no need,...

Re: User Avatars?

All I have is do not use avatar dotted and no options to browse or enter a URL.
I'm not too worried about one, but it would be nice to change on a whim vs a request.
It looks to be just a disabled...

One helluva view from your office! All I get is 3 dividers lol.

Work any job long enough and it becomes the same-ol same-ol DIDO routine.

That is really cool, great job on the conversion! Although I think I'd stay away from the beach with it......

Lets see some vid of the bed in action!

Re: Medium duty loosely based Mitsu-Fuso build

Yeah, please do send some pics. Smallhaul did one on Scale that I've been getting some ideas for doing mine. Always helpful to get different takes, I definitely want it to function, and function well!

Re: Medium duty loosely based Mitsu-Fuso build

Oh well, forget the medium duty, I wasn't able to find tires in a size that would look scale for a smaller sized 1:14 truck.
So now it won't be narrowed, I'll use bigger stock for the frame, and I...

Eh, forget it, thanks for all your help!

That would probably be a little difficult to mount on the axle.
Here's a pretty straight forward driveshaft disconnect. Use male Stampede drive shafts on the rearmost pass through axle and on the...

Re: Ford F800 BigJob

Nice, I like the fact you can just call an F100 a F800 and it works as a truck.
Looks good.

Yup, found it, and wow, $188. Yeah, I'll be working on my own design lol. They are nice though, and certainly worth the money I'm sure.
