Re: Driven front axle options?

This was asked of one of the axle brands, but not answered:

What about a 'throughput' front axle, like the forward unit on the dual-rear-axle semi's. Does no-one make a simple off-the-shelf unit...

Re: How to prep for packing and shipping?

Shipping Priority #1?

For the cross-border travellers attending meets:

For us Canucks that are gonna travel south (like to Indy) on the ground, it seems all we need is this 'Extended Driver's Licence' thing. Cheaper...

Re: Free cargo boxes....

Depends on the adhesive.

I try my alcohol medical wipes first, and if the stuff is still resistant, and the material can take it, I resort to lighter fluid (yellow plastic bottle Ronson stuff) in...

Re: Free cargo boxes....

PM sent, those are ~so~ neat.

Re: CAT 963 Full Hydraulic Build

Hmm, lighting solutions...

The cab interior leakage is easy enough to deal with, and get that red 'night-vision retention' option I mentioned - just use a bit of that Tamiya translucent lens paint...

Re: Need Leasons about Axle Types

Oh...

One of my contacts over in the Blizzard forum suggested (and tried) a semi-locked option... and how. And NOT with one of those cable-locking systems that inflate the price of the axle at...

Re: CAT 963 Full Hydraulic Build

Rock:

Great lighting, but two points:

When the bucket lifts, it'll block a good portion of the cab-top lights beam. Won't you want a second set on the nose of the beastie?

And the lights in...

George,

All the Tamiya semi tractor axles come 'unlocked' and its the user that woiuld be locking them. Likewise with the TLT, TXT, HighLift and CR01 axles.

Some lock them with JB Weld, but the...

Hmmm, that was ~fast~...

Tamiya says: 41in. x 10in. x 4in., at a weight of 15 lbs.

So for any interested, thats the package they'll be sending if you order it from them.

Dunno how long...

Re: styrene glue application question

I tried that, and the issue is the MEK in the glue eats the rubber plunger of the syringe. One good 'whiff' of the solvent, the plunger swells/melts, and you loose anything thats in the...

Re: tidy up wires

Stellor,

You'll want a big enough diameter that you can fit whatever plugs thru it without snagging, so measure around the biggest plug.

As for feeding it in, you'll want to go to a dollar...
