It was heavily used across the weekend, with...

Re: Servonaut infrared ARO transmitter question

Given the ScaleArt team do use IR gear(inc. servonaut), you could ask them on how they do it with their 5th wheel.

Also the German forums will have some builds with similar setups.

Cheers,
AP.

Re: Servonaut infrared ARO transmitter question

Hi,

So I see from you needle nose thread it's a Wedico fifth wheel... I have converted my Wedico DAF to IR up the guts, a drill and a bit of glue... all done. No remote unlocking though.

Re: Servonaut infrared ARO transmitter question

Hi,

I have both the AIRU and AIR4 with the AMO's.

As to range, I think something like 15-20cm(6-8 inches) is aok.

With regards to angle, I think it is pretty close to 90 degrees. I can try...

Re: 4 Axle Low loader

All,

Thanks for the feedback and advice. :-)

I do like the idea of making it equalized across all four, and I have picked up two sets of reefer suspension parts. That will be the next...

Re: LASER or GPS?

Just thought about the laser sender on the model... Not sure if that would work either, getting bumped and moved about may not be the best..

Re: LASER or GPS?

Hi,

My 2 cents...

If you just wanted a level I think the laser side should be doable. I should be possible to use an arduino on the model and work out if the tool is high or low.

For slopes...

Re: Spektrum DX10 system fault

I have a comment from someone in the know in Spektrum whom reckons 8 mixes are available on the DX10T.

Today I tried some stuff with the mixes on the radio, and documented how i did it:...

Re: Spektrum DX10 system fault

Paul,

I did ask Spektrum about the boot time, apparently it is due to the additional complexity. The dx18 is similar to the 10t.

FWIW I have been playing with the spam files, from bog the 8...

Re: 4 Axle Low loader

I don't want to go wild trying to equalise it... Just leave the leaf springs in place and add some rockers. I might have to try and find some shorter springs to keep the axle spacing correct, or...

Re: Spektrum DX10 system fault

Paul,

Mine takes a while to start up as well, not 10 seconds though.

I might try and ask Spektrum to comment on the boot time (it does feel long).

I will also check my DX8 and see if it is...

Re: oil cooler? is there such a thing ?

Does it already have a small fan blowing cold air over the pump, valves and res?

If not you might want to try that first.

Re: Komatsu WA500-6 by Fumotec

FYI sizes:
WA500
Länge: 705mm
Breite: 230mm
Höhe: 270mm

Wedico 966:
Length: app. (612mm) 24.09", Width: app. (211mm) 8.31", Height: app. (250mm)9.84"

So the WA500 looks about 10% larger...
