Far out thats insane. He's lucky he didnt have a cargo, could have ended up with something coming through the back of the truck!

Alrighty, chassis rails came in, so got drilling, and have the rolling chassis done!
I swapped the shock bodies from a trailer to get silver ones for the rear. Didnt bother with the front as you...

Yeah bending a piece never occurred to me either until RCT posted that example!

And you think your build has had setbacks? lol, i think my body has more paint/primer/putty than plastic!

Ahh, right, sorry didnt get what you meant. The Ali I used was 0.1mm, so almost like foil anyway. Im going to try it on a slightly thicker piece and see if it holds better.

Ive seen the square pattern styrene, and thats my fallback if I cant make anything else. I may get a better result by using a thicker piece of aluminium, the one I did above is super thin 0.1mm. A...

I had to remake the front panel of the trailer, the previous one was 5mm too short.

I think my method of construction is: measure once, cut, test fit, swear, measure again, trim a bit, test again,...

Got the rear of the trailer mounted up. Had to re-make the rear side uprights of the trailer frame too, turned out they werent even.

Have some of Lynns bezels for the lights, and waiting on some...

Made the rear bumper/lights for the trailer today. Its a llittle uneven, but it'll do the job. Still need to paint the styrene, and polish the ali though.

From what I worked out, in scale it should be about 294mm tall ground to top of the roof. But the actual box should be about 200mm tall, which is how i've tried to size it.

I redrilled the mounts...

I'm letting the clearcoat cure properly for a week or so before i do any masking over it. So in the meantime i decided to get some work on the trailer done since the styrene for the side panels came...

Theres just something special about getting a nice big box with Tamiya written on it. I've had plenty of different brands of RC cars, but no-one takes quite as much...

I'll give it a protective clearcoat tonight, then make the masks for spraying the blue. The one for the roof of the cab is going to be a pain.
