I bought a, I guess it's a switch decoder, off a guy in Canada. It uses one proportional channel but gives me 8 on/off's and works on Spektrum radios. Paid like $80 or $90 for it.
I'm going to be...

Re: my cabover

That sure is a sweet looking truck. I haven't seen to many semi's, but this is the first one I've seen with painted frame rails and it looks really good. Nice color choice too.

Re: Silverado Dually in 1/14

Nice find on the body, and great work. It's really coming along and will be sweet to throw some variety into the vehicle mix at meets.

I think I have some 3x11 flanged bearings at home. I can...

Re: Transmissions & Transfer Boxes for 6x6

Yup, exactly! Nothing at you fhhh. I forget what they cost now when they were released but the really? was aimed at they released a product that would cause your axles to play tug-o-war.

Re: Indy buying spree

Yeah, I've looked through the PMD site, but did not see those tires listed. Are they special order or something, or am I better off just ordering them from Germany?

Radios, stick or pistol, building a cheap 6ch 2.4ghz pistol

I'm guessing most of you use stick radios, but if you like pistol grip radios, I found this thread on RCC, and as well similar threads and on other forums. It's basically retrofitting 6ch stick guts...

Re: Figure height for drivers?

So I guess 4" to 4.5" would be good.
Well that blows, the figure I was looking at I think is more like 7". Waiting to hear back from the seller though. For some reason I was thinking they were like...

Trucks from the movies

With all the trucks that have been "portrayed" on the big screen, I can't think of any RC trucks I've seen that replicate one.
For the last 4 or 5 years now my want for a semi has been a King Hauler...

Re: how do you lock the rear

Here's a picture, although the guy used a 4th gear, you can use one in it. On Scale4x4 and RCC people having been using this method for years....

Figure height for drivers?

About how tall should a figure be for a driver in the Tamiya semi's?
I'm looking at one on Ebay for a truck I want to build one of these days. It's $50 so I don't want to just buy it, but is open...

Re: Ok, It's been long enough.

Ha, reminds me of something I was painting a few years back. Don't remember what it was but had a nice multi color paint job going and was laying down some yellow. Holding it in my hand standing...

Re: Driven front axle options?

Yeah as long as you get an ESC made for cars/trucks, it will have reverse.

Re: Driven front axle options?

Do you have a forward only ESC? You can use a Traxxas Revo transmission and get a shiftable reverse.

Re: how do you lock the rear

Or you can take apart the diff, remove one of the spider gears and place it in between the other two. Might have to work it down in a tad to re-assemble. BAM! Instant free reversible locker.

Okay, I'm kinda not understanding this. If you guys are primarily gearing down to drop speed and not for torque, why not just adjust EPA or adjust stick movement to desired speed as it is...
