You are correct it would be a good start for the Aliens APC,the APC was built from a de-ballasted ex British Airways Douglas DC12 air tug.
They removed approx 35 tons from the tug...

Yes you are correct it was originally designed for the 747 or wide bodied aircraft

Well after much thoght the original brass build was scrapped due to major weight issues but started again in plasticard

This week i seem to have spent a lot of time messing about with fiddly little bits.
Parts added include handbrake and winch control levers,wiper motors,vacuum brake unit,door handles,engine cover...

The groove for the O-ring is square no need to be rounded,just ensure you dont make the groove too tight width ways, you have to allow room for the o-ring to compress.

Well made some progress and gone backwards as well managed to get the roof done but spent nearly all day today ripping off the radiator as i did not like it at all...

Well after a layoff finally got back to doing a bit,turns out the real truck lives 5 miles from me and thanks to the owner managed to take over 100 pictures to help with the build.

Well managed to remove pump from truck so here goes.

Get along to your local hydraulics repair shop and ask if you can have one or two of there old pumps prefrebly small ones
