Re: Unit Cable Hoe

This may be a silly question but what are the black wire leads going into the track frames? Are the drive batteries between the rails?
It sure works well on rotation and looks to have a good speed...

Have you tried?

They have gotten our shop out of a bind a few times.

Re: King Cat 6x6

I really like the look with the wheels and tires. It reminds me of a Trials truck from Europe.
Any video?

Re: Euclid R18

OOOOOh! I smell road trip.
I might have to take the camera and get a bunch of photo's of those machines.
Live Steam, R/C, and model loaders. That would be a unique build.:D

Re: R/C Tonka dump truck

On a side note I found a really easy latch system for the dump box gate. I glued a 3/16" round rare earth magnet inside the box, up against the tail gate and it holds it just enough to keep the load...

Re: R/C Tonka dump truck

Thanks
I had to research the wheel color to see it. The truck I have is a reproduction of the original and the colors are off from the real one. I'll have to add this to my list of To Do's.

"Rich and Retired but not any older"
I couldn't have summed it up any better myself:D
The 955K sounds like a good match for the truck. I'm looking forward to seeing that build in the future!

Re: Euclid R18

Looking good!
It's nice to see a scratch built model under power and doing what it was built for.
Now the truck needs a friend like an old steam shovel with an electric conversion like the ones...

Re: R/C Tonka dump truck

I think Smallhaul used the drivetrain from a mini rock crawler like a 1/16 Losi or Duratrax on his Tonka's. They are about the right size and would offer plenty of strength and power. Once I find...

Re: Bruder Cat Excavator Conversion

Looking good!
The brass boom is going to be a really nice addition to the model. I don't think there will be any problem with it breaking.
Are you going to use servos for the track drives?

Re: 1/25 truck shop & diorama

I love the detail. The guy welding is great and the lighting really does the scene justice! By the look of the Arc he's using 7018 rod;)

Re: bruder trackloader conversion

Are yout using a Tamiya dual motor gear box for track drives? The loader seems to have good power and it works really well in the videos.

Re: Butler Bros Mark 5 logging truck

It's a Traxxas Tmaxx diff. We are going to cut the plastic housing and add a rear pinion to the front diff housing to power the rear axle. We use these diffs in my Dads Challenger log truck and they...

Re: Butler Bros Mark 5 logging truck

Yes they are milspecs. and they look very close to the originals. The only problem is the truck is going to weigh around 80 to 100lbs with a load on it and the tires are already flat with just the...

Re: R/C Tonka dump truck

The dump and drive servos are RC4WD 200oz crawler steering servos with the drive one adapted to continuous rotation. The gears are quite exposed and I have to be careful not to get them hung up on...

Re: The Machinist

I've got the 500 dialed in and am putting a couple batteries a week through it.
Now if I could only convince you to bust out the 700 and get it inverted

Re: R/C Tonka dump truck

Suprisingly it has good power empty. Enough to spin the tires on concrete, but it gets sluggish with a full load.

Re: The Machinist

Well I think I've found the limitations of the Mcpx. It was blowing pretty good today and the poor thing just didn't have the jam to pull out of a low level back flip and I stuffed it hard into the...
