Re: Air Pressure excavator

Air is very "springy". If your bucket digs into something firm and then breaks loose it is going to catapult dirt everywhere. I'd would only use it as a last resort.

Re: Michigan Gravel Train

Thank you!

Haha, thanks. I went so far as to "make it my work". Not sure if that was the best decision but it is fun to see the look on peoples faces when I tell them I make toys for...

Re: Michigan Gravel Train

I think it might Joe. The supplied springs are very stiff so they might soften. On the first trailer I built using them, I changed out the springs in the rear axle so that it sagged a bit. On the...

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Ha! Be careful what you wish for.lol Lots of people on Facebook that will kick and deflate your tires. Very few will inflate your bank account. The forum here has been much more productive for me....

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

I'm so jealous! There was a used(but nearly brand new) Tormach CNC mill for sale locally about a year ago. The guy had receipts for over $20K worth of goodies and wanted $12500CAD for it. It all...

Michigan Gravel Train

I started on this one late last year. I took a break from it for a while but have been back at it this week. A bit more work to do on it but it's coming along.

Re: Magom HRC Wheel loader

Probably not a bad idea. I've been reading that they are proposing a 100% tariff on European motorcycles in the 50cc-500cc range. If this happens it will mostly effect off-road models. Nothing in...

Re: Gravel boxes for your King Hauler

Thanks guys! I think it would scale out to around 22' Joe. The Grand haulers are 4" longer than a king so it's a long box.

Re: Is this hobby dying in the US?

Local shops are not interested here either. The biggest shop finally has a truck and trailer built but it's all stock and they just used it in a parade and parked it. As far as I know, they have no...

Welcome to the hobby!

What part of western Canada are you in? There are a few of us on Vancouver Island and we get together 2-3 times a year at truck shows.
