Joe, my stahl pads are all aluminum? Are your stahl pads older than 2004? My upgraded dozer pads are stainless (custom made) and the scaleart pads are brass.

RUST!!! Carbon steel will rust and corrode so fast you can watch the stains develope on the rest of your excavator and your wife will love the carpet stains too. Then after it rusts, try wrenching...

I've gone for a long time and things have changed but the worst idea i've heard is "carbon steal" grouser pads! I don't mean to slam RC4WD but carbon steel shows their lack the experience for this...

my advice would be....get one strong servo (200 in oz or stronger), make sure its digital cause that rc4wd 3 speed tranny is real hard to shift.
