Re: MFU vs Euro truck MFU

Number one is sounds obviously. But I find the Euro sounds like the newer diesels with all the emissions stuff on them. A few of the other differences are the signals don't always come on when you...

Re: i need help locating a thread

It might have been my Cascadia build that you read that. The extra parts were the shift plates to go with the brass gears.

Here's a link to the thread I think you are talking about: ...

Re: My Cascadia build.

Thanks guys. It's still a work in progress specially with the addition of the SS-tronix equipment. Didn't get the hidden servo done today but hopefully tomorrow.

rctrucker2, you would be...

Re: Freightliner grill

If you could get a cad file on it might be something easily 3d printed.

Can't wait to see the freightliner grill, might have to change my day cab to a freightliner to go with the Cascadia.

Re: My Cascadia build.

It's been a while since I've updated this and things have come along way and then backwards but for a good reason. Ran it for a full day at the Clifford show with only one issue and that was the new...

Re: winch controller for my wrecker

What about a cheap ESC? That way you could spool it as fast or slow as you wanted.

Re: Day Cab Battery

What I did with my day cab was put my ESC and RX on top of the servo's which left me the whole tray for a battery. Right now I'm running a traxxas mini revo lipo pack and just using a piece of...

Re: 35t or silver can

The silver can is way to fast in these trucks specially if you hit 3rd gear at all. I run the Tamiya truck motor and find it to be the right balance for torque and top speed.

Re: 53ft van and reefer trailers

I think the way you painted it looks like a regular trailer with the natural aluminum rub rail. But all depends on the look you are going for. Either way looks good and can't wait to see it in...

Re: My Cascadia build.

Thank you. Yeah I noticed that too but didn't think much of it cause I put the oil filled shocks on. But did find it strange that they used an o-ring which I don't remember from the knight hauler...

Re: King Hauler Lights

On the MFU you should actually have a couple of open slots for extra lights. You will just need to get the right connector to plug into the connector on the MFU.
Check out this link and you about...

Re: My Cascadia build.

I'm still tempted to get another set of side panels and do a little rework. Now that I have been looking more while on the road I'm now seeing more and more Cascadia's with this setup. And yes this...

Re: 53ft van and reefer trailers

Can't wait to see what you build with these. This is one thing I wished someone made commercially or Tamiya would actually get out of the 70's and make something modern and the right size other then...

Re: I need radio help please!

You may not have lost the memory just switched to a memory that isn't programmed right for the 4200. You'll just have to find the area where the model memories are stored and see if can find the...

Re: I need radio help please!

Another possibility is while in the menu you switched model memories. So now it's on a memory that is defaulted back to factory settings versus the memory that the model was setup on.

I also just...

Re: My Cascadia build.

Thanks. I'm not totally sold on the half fenders yet. I also have a set of quarter fenders from the knight hauler on the way as well since the frame is already drilled for them. I do agree with...

Re: My Cascadia build.

Nothing to be sorry about rctrucker2, that's what we are all here for. As Espeefan said you don't need the self tapping. I've been replacing the Tamiya screws for years with no issues. Actually...

Re: My new Knight Hauler/Freightliner

What might be happening is the voltage is dropping below the minimum that the receiver needs and shuts off. This is known as browning out. What causes this is the BEC voltage in the MFU dropping...
