Hmmm...

Making it freewheel at both ends is a much more difficult problem. Something I'd really need to think about. You could grind down the threads at each end so the screw would just spin but...

Thanks for the links but I don't think either of those is with hydraulics. I translated the comments from the first video and it seems the guy used some sort of racks or maybe a motor...
