You need more wattage. Whats happening is that as you touch your iron to the board, all the heat is soaked up and the iron doesnt have enough power to re-heat quick enough.

I use a Weller 50 watt...

When you get into it, 100 peices dont go very far...and compared to what you pay for kits the price is way cheap. Im about to re-stock my supply here soon, probably looking at over 1000 piece order!

You do want M3, if you pick that size on McMaster it should default to the common pitch (maybe thats all they sell, dont remember). It is more commmon to see a thread diameter by lengh listed on...

It is an easy fix, you just need to keep a shop vac handy. When you let out the majic smoke, just suck it up, put the esc to the tube and hit reverse. All the smoke goes back in and viola! Your back...

If you are going the spray can method, doesnt matter the brand, one of the best tips I can give is to warm up the can. Let it sit in a cup of hot water for 5 mins or so, especially on darker colors...
