Well, it's pretty bad when you can't make up your mind on something so simple but I went back to the RC4WD fake hubs and kept the nylock lug nuts. Just wish those center nuts didn't stick out so...

Changed the lug nuts out for some stainless nylock nuts and added some acorns to the center.

Well, I have my wheel dilemma figured out. Two set of wheels, one set of adapters and some parts of each used here. Good enough for who it's for.

I need to correct myself, the backing plate does have threads as you mentioned but I'm using the adapters for a driven axle, this means the original backing plate is discarded and the adapters are...

I will have to work at it more when I have more time but I just don't think there is the kind of room to work from the back side of the rim once on the axle and truck.
