Im going to try a couple firgellis mounted between the draft arms. Im impressed with the power they have and I'm thinking they will get the job done.

I use a cheapo flux core wire welder I got at harbor freight. It spatters quite a bit but it gets the job done. I am no expert welder but I'm learning.

Make sure the shift rod is moving in and out completely. It likes to wiggle around and unscrew the rod ends from your servo linkage. Also check that the set screw on the drive cup haven't come loose...
