Re: 1/16 Oliver Dozer Conversion

I'd go with a separate BEC so when you are under load or possibly even stall the motors you don't have issues. If you run a separate BEC, you would not use the power wires from your esc to the...

The longer shaft (here) (http://shop.der-getriebedoktor.de/aid-6-Verlaengerte-Allrad-Abtriebswelle-fuer-das-Tamiya-Truck-3-Gang-Getriebe.html) has the benefit of the output on the front of the...

Re: Tamiya bolt on reduction gear

Plastic might be a good alternative to the PMD one already out there. You mentioned 8x8 and for that you'd need front output also (and reduced) or a separate transfer case anyways. I haven't seen...

Re: DAF torpedo front truck and front steer truck

The cardboard process is not often seen for a master. I have seen it on other euro forums. Nice vid of the early stages. I am big fan of your bus build.

Re: 331 Tanker

Funny I had always seen Plastruct products in my LHS but it was always for such small scales, I never checked out their catalog. They have nice dome and elliptical ends in very large sizes.

Re: widening rear semi axle?

RC4WD has widening kits. Essentially it is a hex widening and a barrel nut to still bolt up the axle. You may have to drill wheel to fit the barrel nuts depending on application.

Re: Car sized tyres

Carisma RC makes or made 1/14 hobby grade cars. They still have 1/14 on their website but I don't see many of their cars at the LHS like I used to. Internationally on ebay yielded a lot of parts...

Re: Progress Thread - 8750 Marion Dragline

You can still run the model with radio control but use shore power. You can use many different units to get AC to DC, like an old computer power supply or search ebay and there are a lot of choices....

Re: Moving KH Front Axle

The simplest way is to just mount the axle in front of the button on the stock spring. Gives you a little caster too. The other is to cut and bend the spring to shorten it. Depending on how short...
