Re: Joskin KTP27/65 Tridem

I just watched a couple of videos on http://www.joskin.com/?page=transport&model=bennes_tp17&user_lang=en and from what I saw it(the 1:1 version of what this one is modelled off of) works pretty much...

Re: Joskin KTP27/65 Tridem

With 1st and 3rd axles steering they counter each other(front turns left rear turns right and vice versa) and allow for sharper turns without skidding the tires (should only leave one tire track that...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

From my experience with 6x6's the amount your tires stick out with the HH wheels is pretty close to what a real life 6x6 with 385/65R22.5 tires would have stick out. Add some fender flares and you...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

That's the neat part about building a class 8 type truck...every one of them is built to order so while some options may not be common does not mean that it was not available to everyone.

I...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

If you are going to use air cleaners that have the exposed rubber hoses going through the side of the hood it would give the appearance of a 359...

Re: 3D printing KH Body Attempt

Looks good!

If it were my call I would say the hood height is bang on, it's the fenders that are too low/small. Not by much though....KW W900's sit high/tall compared to most other hooded trucks.

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

I think the speed is about right. The PC1800's we have at work are slow compared to the PC2000's and PC1200's. Generally the bigger the machine the more power and less speed.

I would personally...

Re: PC1800 Front Shovel (1/12)

For the sliders you could try dyeing them black.

Re: Ford 9000

Amazing build, wish I had the time or skill to do one myself.

Not to nit pick as the rest of the detail is spot on, but the only detail that is off is the round air cleaner intake, LTL9000's had...

Re: Double set back C500 KW tandem tandem 8X8

Nice start.

I have thought about a similar build many times...it may happen one day. Good inspiration.

just a suggestion but please put updates on your original thread so it is easier to find...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

Sorry no pics from work, kinda like my job and it is against the rules (in other words, get caught and lose your job).

We don't use anything larger than a PC2000 excavator to load 777's, usually...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

For loading our 777's and 785's at work we use Komatsu 800, 1800 or 2000 if we are using excavators.

Re: Bob's Hauler

Nice looking chassis.

Only thing I would change if you want to get the scale look more right is to move the fifth wheel to above(or just slightly in front of) the middle drive axle. That is where...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

We are not allowed to have camera at work (get caught with one and you are probably going to lose your job). I will see if I can get some dimensions when I go back to work (work 7 on/7 off) but...

Re: 777 HAUL TRUCK (1/12 size)

I drive real 777D's at work and the walkway looks right on. On the real thing the walkway looks large until you try and squeeze my butt on it then it gets pretty crowded.

Awesome build by the way.
