Re: 4200 Motor what is optimal %?

Funny that it has to be set that far from 100%
Mine runs well at 24-25 below 23 the motor
sounds very sluggish like its running way off the way
it was intended.

Mine came with it set at 25%... though people also set theirs lower.
What is the ideal percentage for this motor? It says on the rc4wd site:
11.1-29volts so not sure why it's set in the radio end...

Re: Changing Hydraulic Oil

Thanks!I found threading long tubes onto input and output made it even faster just ran it dry into a can then ran clean oil in and old into the can for a bit until all flushed out- then as oil was in...

Re: Changing Hydraulic Oil

I just attach two long hoses to input and out put- run it dry then run some clean fluid into it and just flush it out..then fill the tank to proper level and done!

Re: 4200 xl pressure dial/4th servo

Fyi..I run it with mix on and off (flip switch) and while the mix does
reduce pressure when not moving pistons..I found manual dialing up
the pressure allows more precision in operating/allows to...

Re: 4200 xl pressure dial/4th servo

One note: You have to set the end point at 100/100 to allow the dial
to dial the servo back and forth.

4200 xl pressure dial/4th servo

I just noticed my replacement radio had the last aux channel for 4th valve
on the gear switch instead of Pit trim dial. By putting it on the pit trim; you can turn off the mix toggle and use the...

Re: Video of Eagle Dozer Prototype

I don't know, it's Chinese New Year but I'll ask as soon as they get back in
the office. Hard to tell exactly by picture, but it looks a lot bigger than the loader, which is big.

Did you work out all the issues with hydraulic movement speed to your satisfaction on the excavator?

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

Glad it's working out. Indoors/when warm out, mine is up and running fine in a min or two, so I wonder about that? Not sure what type of screw head your pressure relief valve has but, that and 4th...

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

You only need about half a tank full when operating. I would make sure
that 4th valve is moving via the radio. You should able to hear it move
with pump off via that black dial. Even if you use the...

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

I would make sure all electrical connections are plugged in. 4th valve servo is channel 8 on my receiver. When radio and machine is turned on and the pump is off see if that dial moves the servo on...

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

to set it up!

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

When all is empty.. add oil until the functions are all working fine.. at this point the tank should be about half full.

The dial is the one on the left/ front of the radio. Controls 4th valve...

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

You probably checked this but (I didn't :) make sure it has "enough" hydraulic oil in the tank!

Re: 4200xl Hydraulics slow?

Hi Chris,

I found you can set it up a few ways;
The way I did it was turn the screw on the pressure relief valve all the way in. Then use the dial on the radio to adjust the constant pressure,...

Re: JBC limited NZ

What I did was screw the dial all the way in on the pressure relief valve then
the dial for that servo can be used to manually adjust the overall pressure/function speed from the radio (mix always...

Re: Video of Eagle Dozer Prototype

Agreed, the reason I got my 4200 excavator is after I saw a video on youtube/Digging with Martin; I contacted Martin and he said his machine has held up after years of using it for up to 50 hours per...
