On some receivers the signal is actually swamped out if the transmitter is too close to the receiver. So, while you are binding cover the antenna on the transmitter with your hand and that will help...

Thanks Craig, wow that was five years ago...it seems like a lot less.

If someone does convert one of these, i made the drums much larger to increase the line speed.

So both of these axles have 3 positions...locked diff, open diff and disconnect front axle from being driven?

I don't really see how the guy that mods the tamiya axles could completely disconnect...

Is there a driven front driven axle with remote locking diff and complete disconnect? Or are they all open and locked only?

I have setup some wedico metal axles that can do this and it is a nice...

I should also add that the tight fit of the rubber washer against the backside of the bevel gear and diff housing also contributes greatly to preventing the spider gears from rotating..it is not just...

To make the rubber washers i use regular thickness bicycle inner tube rubber and just cut them to shape and add some fresh grease to the spider gears just before...

It is holding up nice Craig, the only thing that i had to do it lately was re-glue a couple of tires that spun loose.

The axle are all modified with rubber washers in place of the metal shims in...
