Ouch, yeah I've had some blades "explode" when cutting flat stock myself. It's never fun trying to pull pieces out of your own arm or shoulder...... I've been there plenty of times doing the 4am...

These are awesome. We have some at the shop and use them for holding aluminum plate and rod when cutting it down into smaller sections, amongst other things.

Zimms did a step by step write up on how to do that. I k ow its on here somewhere if I can find it ill post the link to it. I did the same thing and his tutorial was great.
